Lockdown Diary

Those seem to be the words that I’ve written so many times – ‘Lockdown Diary’. In a sense this is a continuation of that diary. The next chapter of my life and I am the reader and the writer of this chapter. I don’t know what will become of the future but I am determined to live to the fullest, or that is the hope.

I don’t want to say that I wrote my lockdown diary by accident, those things don’t happen, but I didn’t realise it would have a big impact as it has had on me. I was just skimming the pages of it and I know that I 100% wrote it but it feels like I was somebody different then.

Now that Scotland is back into Lockdown, I will continue to write about that but hopefully focus more of the positives at this horrible time. I am just so thankful that I still have my job and that I am able to get into work as I cannot work from home. Going into work means that I have something to focus on each day and I get a little conversation with my work colleague in a socially distant environment.

Dynasty Warriors 9

So, I bought Dynasty Warriors 9 a few months ago during lockdown. Shops were allowed to reopen but only if they were outside – indoor shopping centres were to remain closed. I traveled into town to get a few pieces and popped into the game shop. I met with the man standing at the door and he asked me what I was looking for. To be honest, I just wanted a browse but had a feeling that I wasn’t really supposed to be there unless I had a reason. There’s so many games I wanted but I was determined to buy something at least. I said the first game that popped into my head ‘Dynasty Warriors 9’. He got me a copy from the shelf and a card reader and I paid at the door and left happy.

The game had sat on my shelf alongside other unplayed games. Until Christmas night I wanted to play something new and I don’t regret it one bit. I spent over 100 hours from then until today and I have finally completed it 100%, well in terms of playstation trophies.

Ex Colleague

I met up with an ex colleague a few days ago. It was so nice to see her! I hadn’t seen her in almost a year but we have had regular contact online throughout lockdown. We had planned a little walk on the beech but unfortunately it rained so we just sat in our cars. We sat for around 3 hours and there wasn’t a moment to pause we had so much to catch up on. She also left our previous job a few months after I did. We used to start at 6am most weekends and she constantly let me know that I made her mornings better. Even if she was in a horrid mood, I would lift her spirits. I can’t wait to get another chance to meet after the lockdown restrictions have lifted.

Random Pieces of A Story

I want this diary to include random facts and stories about me. A little different from my previous diaries but I feel something new might be a good thing. I don’t wish to focus too much on the past and would rather look toward a brighter and better future, but I have always felt like I have a lot to share with the world. In real life I am a very closed book, I am very private, I can’t really speak my true thoughts and feelings. Emotions have always been a little difficult. As in all my diaries I have been completely true and honest and hope that those resonate within this 2021 diary project.

I haven’t planned exactly what I will write in here but my initial goal was to write around 1,000 words each Friday. I am determined to write each Friday but I’m unsure of the word target. I’m not really sure what else to write this week so I shall cut it short.
